A whole level of BNB

This was easily the best BNB we’ve ever stayed in. My fiance and I were there for 6 days in Sept, 2016, and it was the highlight of our two week trip. The house itself is out of a postcard as you can see in the pictures, but the hosts Albert and his wife Ester really made the place fantastic. Albert’s food is Michelin worthy every day, For example, my French toast was not just French toast, it was infused with creme brulee. I had to ask Albert how he was such an amazing cook, only to discover that he and his wife were local celebrity chefs who only recently retired from their French fine dining restaurant of the same name. What a treat! I also recommend joining their dinner parties if you can, because if I thought the breakfasts were a treat, the dinner blew them out of the water and into another lake. We still couldn’t stop talking about how he so perfectly poached our eggs. We did do other things at the park that was not eating, and with every activity Albert and Esther were ready to guide us. They lent us hiking poles when we wanted to scramble up a mountain, and gloves for the rougher hikes. Albert also had plenty of bear spray that he’s more than happy to share too. I’m afraid I’ve been spoiled and will be judging every other bnb by Beaujolais’ standard from now on.

This is THE place to stay in Banff. You can go visit the other hotels, which have nice views, but the rooms and service are nothing like you’ll find at Beaujolais B&B at Thea’s House. The food is outstanding.

The hosts made me feel like family. The room was perfect. You can walk to downtown or to the Banff Centre. As beautiful as Banff and the surrounding area is, when I come back, it’ll partly be to stay here again.

This place is amazing! Albert, Esther & Greg make you feel right at home. The house is beautiful and only 2-3 blocks from Banff. Ave in one direction and Tunnel Mountain in the other.
Esther even led us up Tunnel Mountain one morning with a couple other guests (for free). They offered their umbrella, hiking sticks, and even bear spray when we would go hiking.
“Hospitable” is an understatement! And oh the breakfast!!! Albert recently sold a French Restaurant the he worked at for over 30 years, and his breakfast reflect his experience in fine dining. Sooo good. Banff is gorgeous, and staying at the Beaujolais made the stay perfect. I don’t think we’ll ever stay anywhere else if we can help it.

“Thea’s House” (Aunt’s House in Greek) is a beautiful completely refurbished B&B concept from the owner of Le Beaujolais (A French fine dining institution in Banff for the past 4 decades). Thank you Albert, Ester & Greg Christou for hosting us!
We cherish the time we stayed with you. Truly a boutique experience from the delicious breakfasts to the dinners that we have tasted made by yourself. Simple request of a packed lunch for our rafting trip was catered to with such care that we felt at home. You all are so charming and great ambassadors for Banff, Canada and also Switzerland! The room “Rundle” was flawless. Your foresight in taking care of guests’ smallest needs goes a long way in making this experience truly memorable. If we have the chance of coming back to the amazing Rockies we will make sure we only stay at “Thea’s House”!
